In short: PricePulse does not track your browsing. It has no content scripts, reads no page you visit normally, collects no analytics, and shows no ads. The only pages it fetches are the ones you explicitly add, and your list of tracked pages never leaves your computer.
PricePulse is operated by Venkata Suresh Annapureddy, trading as Zentrix Technologies, based in Chennai, Tamil Nadu, India (“we”, “us”). We have written this policy to describe the software’s actual behaviour rather than to reserve rights we do not use.
01 What PricePulse does not do
- It does not read, modify, or inject scripts into the pages you browse.
- It does not collect browsing history, bookmarks, cookies, form data, or passwords.
- It does not use analytics, tracking pixels, advertising, or fingerprinting.
- It does not sell, rent, or share personal information with third parties for their own purposes.
- It does not transmit your list of tracked pages to us.
02 Information stored on your own device
The following is saved locally in your browser using Chrome’s storage.local API. It stays on your computer, and we cannot see it:
- The URLs and labels of the pricing pages you choose to track.
- The price candidates detected on those pages, which of them you confirmed, and an extract of the page’s visible text used to detect changes.
- Your check-frequency preference.
- Your licence key, if you subscribe to Pro.
- Your alert email address and Slack webhook URL, if you choose to configure Pro alerts.
Uninstalling the extension removes all of it. You can also remove any tracked page at any time from within the extension.
03 Pages PricePulse fetches
To detect price changes, the extension requests the pricing pages you have added — only those, never any other site. These requests are made from your own browser and are sent without cookies or credentials, so the site receives an anonymous request that is not linked to any account you may hold with them.
The extension requires permission to access all websites because the pricing pages you may want to track can be on any domain, and only you decide which. That permission is not used to read any other site.
04 Information sent to our servers
PricePulse contacts our backend only in the specific situations below.
| When | What is sent | Why |
|---|---|---|
| You activate a licence key, and once a day thereafter while Pro is active | Your licence key | To confirm the subscription is active |
| Only if you enable “Pricing loads via JavaScript” for a page (Pro) | That page’s URL and your licence key | Our server loads that one page in a headless browser and returns its HTML, so prices rendered by JavaScript can be read |
| Only if you have configured email or Slack alerts (Pro), and a confirmed price changes | Your licence key, your alert email address and/or Slack webhook URL, the page label, the page URL, and the price change | To deliver that alert |
If you are on the Free plan and have not configured alerts, the extension contacts our servers only to verify a licence key — which Free users do not have. Free-plan checking happens entirely within your browser.
05 Information we hold about subscribers
If you subscribe to PricePulse Pro, we store a licence record containing your email address (as provided to PayPal at checkout), your PayPal subscription identifier, the licence key issued to you, its status, and the date it was created.
We use this only to issue your licence, verify it while your subscription is active, and revoke it if the subscription ends. We do not use it for marketing.
Retention
Licence records are kept while the subscription is active and for up to 12 months after it ends, to handle refunds, disputes, and tax records. After that they are deleted. You may request earlier deletion at any time (see section 08), noting that deleting an active licence ends Pro access.
06 Payment
Payments are processed by PayPal. We never see or store your card or bank details. PayPal tells us that a subscription started, was cancelled, or expired, along with the subscriber’s email address and subscription identifier. PayPal’s handling of your data is governed by its own privacy policy.
07 Service providers we use
- Railway — hosts our backend server and stores licence records.
- Resend — delivers licence-key emails and Pro email alerts.
- PayPal — processes subscription payments.
- Slack — only if you choose to provide a Slack webhook URL for alerts.
These providers process data on our behalf to operate the service. We do not share your information with anyone else, and we do not sell it.
08 Your rights and how to exercise them
You may ask us to give you a copy of the personal information we hold about you, correct it, or delete it. You may also object to our processing or ask us to restrict it.
Email info@zentrixtech.in from the address associated with your subscription and we will respond within 30 days.
If you are in the European Economic Area or the United Kingdom, we process your information to perform our contract with you (providing the service you paid for) and to meet our legal obligations, and you have the right to complain to your local data protection authority. If you are in India, your rights under the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 apply.
09 Security
Traffic between the extension and our servers uses HTTPS. Licence records are stored on a persistent volume accessible only to our backend service. No system is perfectly secure, but we keep the data we hold to the minimum the service needs — which is why we do not collect your tracked pages at all.
10 Children
PricePulse is a business tool and is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18.
11 Changes to this policy
If we change how PricePulse handles data, we will update this page and change the date at the top. Material changes affecting existing subscribers will also be sent to the email address on the subscription.
